Skin Solutions - Post Waxing
PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS
Condition: Post Waxing
Waxing is a form of epilation whereby hair is pulled out beneath the surface, relatively just above the root. This form of hair removal is longer lasting than shaving, as it can prevent new hair growth from approximately two to eight weeks. Waxing is best performed by a licensed professional as it can irritate sensitive skin. Waxing should not be used on chapped, sunburned, irritated, or eczema-prone skin nor on warts, moles or a weak scar.
Warm wax is applied to the areas of the skin, allowed to harden for a few seconds, and then quickly peeled off. As a result, waxing can cause some degree of redness and/or irritation to the skin. Additionally, exposing the treated area of the skin to UV rays can cause sensitivity and free radical damage. Using a wellness approach can help normalize and protect skin following waxing.
