I recently had a client who had taken matters into her own hands and tried to cover her white hair at home with "Just for Men" hair color shampoo. She's an older client and did not want to go out in the cold, snowy weather and thought this would get her by until she could get to the salon for her color. She called me almost in tears for only using the shampoo for two minutes. When she came into the salon she had very uneven coverage that went anywhere from no coverage to WAY over-deposited color. I knew exactly what I had to do as we have very, very hard ground water laden with iron in our city and I know they use metallic dyes in that product she had used.
